Day 01 · Spain / Guatemala
Flight via the United States. Arrival and transfer.
Day 02 · Guatemala / Chichicastenango / Lake Atitlán
The Chichicastenango market, one of the largest in the Americas, where people still bargain in K’iche’. Then Lake Atitlán, a flooded crater ringed by three volcanoes.
Day 03 · Lake Atitlán / Guatemala / Petén
A boat to Santiago Atitlán, a Tz’utujil village with its hand-embroidered cloth, and the afternoon flight to Flores.
Day 04 · Petén
Tikal from sunrise, while the howler monkeys are still going and the mist has not lifted. Lunch in the open air.
Day 05 · Petén / Guatemala / Antigua
Flight to the capital and a guided walk through Antigua, with its convents left in ruins by earthquakes and the Agua volcano always behind.
Days 06 and 07 · Antigua
Two free days. We suggest climbing the Pacaya volcano, a coffee finca on the slopes, or simply doing nothing on a terrace.
Day 08 · Antigua / Guatemala / Spain
Flight home via the United States.
Day 09 · Spain
Arrival.
