Day 01 · Spain / Munich
Arrival and transfer.
Day 02 · Munich / Neuschwanstein / Innsbruck
Marienplatz and its glockenspiel. Then Neuschwanstein, the castle Ludwig II built and barely got to live in. On to Innsbruck.
Day 03 · Innsbruck
The Golden Roof with its two thousand six hundred gilded tiles, the Imperial Palace and the Triumphal Arch. Funicular to Seegrube at two thousand metres, with the city below.
Day 04 · Innsbruck / Krimml / Salzburg
The Krimml falls, three hundred and eighty metres in three drops. On to Salzburg.
Day 05 · Salzburg / Salzkammergut / Vienna
Mozart’s city and the Mirabell Palace. On the way, St Wolfgang on its lake. Into Vienna.
Day 06 · Vienna
St Stephen’s and its tiled roof, the Imperial Palace, Parliament, the Opera, the Belvedere with the Klimt, and the Prater with its 1897 ferris wheel.
Day 07 · Vienna
Schönbrunn: fourteen hundred rooms, the Great Gallery and Sisi’s apartments. A free afternoon for coffee and cake, which is taken seriously there.
Day 08 · Vienna / Spain
Flight home.
