A free morning and the drive to Ankara through the Bolu mountains.
Day 04 · Ankara / Cappadocia
The Museum of Anatolian Civilisations and Atatürk’s Mausoleum. On to Cappadocia past the Salt Lake.
Day 05 · Cappadocia
An underground city, the citadel of Uchisar, the Göreme valley and the fairy chimneys of Pasabag. Optional: a balloon flight at sunrise.
Day 06 · Cappadocia / Konya / Pamukkale
The Sultanhan caravanserai and the Mevlana Mausoleum in Konya. On to Pamukkale.
Day 07 · Pamukkale / Kusadasi
Hierapolis and Aphrodisias, the Greco-Roman city dedicated to the goddess Aphrodite.
Day 08 · Kusadasi
Ephesus: the Odeon, Curetes Street, the Temple of Hadrian, the Library of Celsus and the Great Theatre. The House of the Virgin Mary.
Day 09 · Kusadasi / Canakkale
The Asclepion of Pergamon and the ruins of Troy with its wooden horse.
Day 10 · Canakkale / Istanbul
The ferry across the Sea of Marmara and the return to Istanbul.
Day 11 · Istanbul / Spain
Return flight and end of the trip.
