Hobbiton, a traditional lunch and a Maori cultural experience at Te Puia with a hangi dinner.
Day 06 · Rotorua / Christchurch / Lake Tekapo
The Waimangu thermal valley, the flight to Christchurch and a working farm on the Canterbury Plains.
Day 07 · Lake Tekapo / Wanaka
The turquoise waters of Tekapo and the alpine road to Wanaka. Optional: a scenic flight over Mount Cook.
Day 08 · Wanaka / Queenstown
Arrowtown and the Bungy Bridge. The gondola up Bob’s Peak in Queenstown.
Day 09 · Queenstown / Milford Sound / Queenstown
A full day in Fiordland National Park, with a boat trip and lunch.
Day 10 · Queenstown / Franz Josef
A free morning and the road to the glaciers over the Haast Pass.
Day 11 · Franz Josef
A guided walk on the Fox Glacier, Lake Matheson and the Franz Josef Glacier.
Day 12 · Franz Josef / Punakaiki
Hokitika and its greenstone, and the Pancake Rocks.
Day 13 · Punakaiki / Kaikoura
Along the east coast with a stop at Hanmer Springs.
Day 14 · Kaikoura / Wellington
Whale watching and the ferry across the Cook Strait.
Day 15 · Wellington
The city, the Te Papa Tongarewa museum and the cable car.
Days 16 and 17 · Wellington / Spain
