Day 01 · Spain / Nairobi
Departure on a flight to Nairobi. Arrival and accommodation.
Day 02 · Nairobi / Samburu
The road north to the Samburu National Reserve. A photographic safari across this semi-arid savannah around the Ewaso Nyiro river, home to the Grevy’s zebra, the beisa oryx and the gerenuk.
Day 03 · Samburu / Aberdare
On to Aberdare National Park. Lunch at the Aberdare Country Club and up to the lodge, where elephants, buffalo and, occasionally, rhino come to drink.
Day 04 · Aberdare / Lake Nakuru / Lake Naivasha
Down into the Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru, a sanctuary for water birds and a refuge for rhino. On to Lake Naivasha.
Day 05 · Lake Naivasha / Masai Mara
On to the Masai Mara. A safari across its plains, home to great herds of wildebeest, zebra and antelope.
Day 06 · Masai Mara
A full day of safari: elephant, giraffe, lion, leopard, cheetah and hyena. This is the stage of the wildebeest migration.
Day 07 · Masai Mara / Nairobi / Spain
Back to Nairobi and the flight home. Overnight on board.
Day 08 · Spain
Arrival and end of the trip.
